SMS consent & opt-in
Not Just Brakes sends text messages only to people who ask us to. This page documents every way that consent is given and shows the exact messages we send. Messages come from (463) 888-6619. We send customer-care messages only โ no marketing, no promotional content, no bulk sending.
Path 1 โ Optional checkbox on the request form
On notjustbrakes.com/request-help (and in the request section of our home page) there is a checkbox directly above the Send Request button. It is unchecked by default and optional โ the form submits without it, and customers who leave it unchecked get a phone call instead. This is exactly how it appears:
(Shown above exactly as it appears on the live form โ inert here.)
Path 2 โ Missed call
A customer dials (463) 888-6619. If we can't answer, we send one text back to the number that called us. Callers who stay on the line until our system picks up also hear this recorded message first:
You've reached Not Just Brakes, mobile mechanic. Sorry we missed your call โ we're sending you a text message now to help with your request. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.
The text we send is:
No further messages are sent unless the customer replies.
Path 3 โ The customer texts us first
A customer texts (463) 888-6619 on their own. We reply:
After that we reply conversationally about that customer's own service request.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or call (463) 888-6619. Consent to receive texts is never required to request service.
